Description

Hemmy Black by Kingdom Organic Seeds

The father of this hybrid is the renowned Cherry Hemmingway, a combination of a landrace Bhutan and Rez Dog’s Firecracker (Williams Wonder x NYC Diesel). The mother is KOS’s Darkling Sativa, a cross of the Vietnam Black jungle sativa (landrace) and the F3 Cherry Bomb from Hawaii. The Cherry Bomb is renowned for its extraordinary yields and potent vigour. It is made up of three Hawaiian cultivars including Puna Budder and Elephant Ear, along with the famous Cherry AK47.

Given the robust Cherry Hemmingway and Vietnamese ancestry, this hybrid is quite tolerant to both heat and drought. It yields generously with distinct notes of cat pee (Haze) and nag Champa incense coming from the vast number of formed bud sites. Some phenotypes have a cream soda or vanilla undertone. KOS has done an excellent job blending in plenty of classic flavours with this one. You can expect it to nearly double in size during flowering.

SPECIAL GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:

We implore you to not sprout these plants on a 24/0 photoperiod; KOS suggests a 16/8 ratio for germination and up until they reach the age of 30 days. Let the plants reach 55 days old from the time they sprout to obtain the best resin production. KOS always promotes organically growing our products to get the most out of the scents and flavors. Additionally, remember that clones work well in pots and seed plants are best in the ground. Be excited and enjoy the process!

I’d be hesitant to suggest this hybrid for a humid environment like what you’d find in coastal outdoor growing or greenhouses without a humidity control system. The Cherry Hemmingway is known to be susceptible to molding and powdery and bud rot because of its big, dense colas – especially when grown outdoors in high humidity. Additionally, I’d be mindful of your flowering environment and make sure it’s totally dark during the dark cycles of flowering. If the Cherry Hemmingway is exposed to any light pollution, it won’t handle it well and will start to show hermaphrodite responses – usually bananas – in about ten days.

There are a lot of advantages when you purchase this particular strain, such as high yields, vibrant vigor, quick rooting from cuttings, strong aroma and flavors with some really strong cat-piss phenotypes. There are some phenotypes that like to lean. Therefore, when you purchase this variety, make sure you have excellent air exchange and air circulation. Additionally, you’ll need to have humidity control indoors during flowering, and it’s best to flower the strain between 30-55% humidity. It’s better to grow this strain indoors rather than outdoors, depending on the outdoor humidity.
